 Anna Belle Elliott, age 90, a resident of Hartford Place Apartments, Hartford City, Indiana, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Blackford Community Hospital in Hartford City.
She was a former Portland and Pennville resident. She is a former employee of Jay Garment for 10 years and Blackford Community Hospital for 24 years where she worked in the kitchen. Anna Belle was a member of the Olive Branch Nazarene Church in rural Pennville. Anna Belle was born on August 14, 1917, in Madison County, Indiana, the daughter of Samuel and Clara (Pine) Crump. She married Floyd Elliott on December 15, 1939, who died on November 29, 1955. Survivors include: 1 son: Vernon Elliott (wife Ruby) – Loogootee, Indiana 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Anna Belle Elliott will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Dewey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.
