Funeral Services for Claude "Willie" Taylor PDF Print E-mail
Active ImageClaude G. “Willie” Taylor, age 90, a resident of Pennville, IN, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning in the Jay County Hospital.

He was a retired in 1995 from Daniels Brothers Slaughtering of Pennville, Indiana, where he had worked since 1984.  He was also a former employee of Indiana Glass of Dunkirk, Indiana.
     Willie Taylor was born October 3, 1918 in Knox Township, Jay County, Indiana, the son of Frank and Mildred (Hiatt) Taylor.  He graduated from Pennville High School with the Class of 1938.  He served with the 5th Air Force Division of the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII.  He was married May 4, 1953 to Naomi E. Bennett, who survives.
     
     Willie Taylor is survived by his wife, Naomi E. Taylor,Pennville, IN; two daughters, Rita Andrews (husband David), Dunkirk, IN and Gloria Daugherty (husband Robert), Upland, IN; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services for Claude G. “Willie” Taylor will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home.  Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate and burial will follow in the IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery in Pennville, IN.  The Pennville American Legion will have charge of military graveside rites.

Friends may call at the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home from 3 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday.  Memorials may be directed to the Upland United Methodist Church, 214 Grant Street, Upland, IN 46989-9456
