Funeral Services for Wanda K. LeMaster-Morehous PDF Print E-mail
Active ImageWanda K. LeMaster Morehous, age 84, a resident of rural Madison Township, Jay County, Indiana, died late Monday afternoon at her home following an extended illness.

She was a member of the Clear Creek Congregational Church in Randolph County.  She retired in 1990 from Sheller Globe Corp. in Union City where she had worked for 38 years.  She was a member of the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary.
     Wanda Morehous was born October 3, 1924 in Jay County the daughter of Glenn and Velma (Disher) Peden.  She was first married to William A. LeMaster on October 15, 1944.  He died October 15, 1978.  She was then married in May of 1993 to Walter Morehous.  He did in February of 2006.  She is survived by:
 
    2 sons:  Chuck E. LeMaster- rural Portland, IN
               Daniel D. LeMaster- Portland, IN

   
    3 step-sons:  Donald Morehous- Portland, IN
                       Carl Morehous- Bryant, IN
                       Robert Morehous- Indianapolis, IN
   
    3 step-daughters:  Linda Morehous- Portland, IN
                               Sharon Shauver- Salamonia, IN
                               Carol Green- Portland, IN
   
    1 brother:  William Peden- Marion, IN


    1 sister:  Mrs. Charles (Gene) McNeely- Marion, IN

    5 grandchildren
   
    7 great-grandchildren
 
    10 step-grandchildren
 
    15 step-great grandchildren
 
    And several nieces and nephews
    
    Funeral service for Wanda LeMaster Morehous will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Clear Creek Congregational Church with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, IN.
    

     Friends may call at the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home on Thurday from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the State of the Heart Home Hospice.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.williamsonspencer.com

Visiting the night before your mother passed really touched me. It was so comforting praying for her and knowing she was ready. I am happy for her that she isn't hurting anymore. God Bless your family at this time of loss, may the Lord have his arms around you. With Jesus'Love, Nurse Nicki

Dear Gene, Bill, and all family members of Wanda's. 
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I know His comforting arms will receive Wanda and that being the sweet lady she was she will find reward in his presence. Without a doubt, we know she is home.
