Marjorie E. Collins, 85 of Portland, Indiana passed away on Thursday night, May 28, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Marjorie was born on January 18, 1924 in Randolph County the daughter of Melvin and Martha (Prescott) Straley.  She graduated from Jackson High School of Randolph County in 1942.  She then married John Collins on December 27, 1946 and they were married for 45 years until his passing on June 24, 1992.  Marjorie was a member of the Greene Township Kitchen Cookies Extension Club, The Red Hat Society, Widows to Widows and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and many small groups within the church.  Marjorie is survived by: Two Daughters: Sharon (husband Robert) Bell – Portland, Indiana, Nancy (husband Scott) Rines – Portland, Indiana, Three Granddaughters, Three Great Granddaughters.  A Visitation for Marjorie Collins will be held from 2-6 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, Portland Chapel.  Pastor Greg Rittenhouse will be officiating the Funeral Service for Marjorie at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the Green Park Cemetery with Pastor Greg Rittenhouse.  Memorial donations may be directed toward the Jay County Cancer Society or the State of the Heart Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
