 Steven L. Bash, 60, of Portland, Indiana passed away on Saturday morning, December 26, 2009 at the Jay County Hospital, Portland, Indiana.
Steven was born on September 16, 1949 in Portland, Indiana the son of Earl F. “Bud” and Mildred (Bash) Schubert. He served in the US Army and then worked in Tennessee delivering automotive parts for ACE Expedition. Steven married Shirley Deaton Slusser on April 26, 1985. He is survived by: His Wife: Shirley Bash – Portland, IN One Son: Steven Lee Bash – El Cajon, CA Two Daughters: Ona J. Johnson – Winchester, IN Stephanie L. Bash – Portland, IN Three Grandchildren Three Brothers: Earl Schubert – Portland, IN Keith Schubert (wife Tammy) – Portland, IN Brian Schubert - Bunker Hill, IN A memorial service will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 6:00 PM from the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, Portland Chapel. A visitation will be from 3-6 PM prior to the service. Pastor Herb Hummel will officiate the service with burial to follow at a later date at Salamonia Cemetery, Salamonia, IN Memorial may be directed towards the Jay County Cancer Society, envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
