Page 1 of 2 Steven D. Ford, age 56, a resident of rural Portland on U.S 27 North, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Jay County Hospital following an extended illness.
Steven was born on November 30, 1953 in Decatur, Indiana the son of Jim and Racheal “Pepper” (Dubach) Ford. Steven graduated from the South Adams High School and then worked as a general contractor. He married Luann Purdy on July 8, 1970 they shared their love for horses for 39 years. He is survived by: His Wife: Luann Ford – Portland, Indiana His Son: Bill Ford – Westfield, Indiana His Daughter: Nichole Wickey (husband Todd) – Portland, Indiana His two Grandchildren A Funeral Service for Steven Ford will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, Portland Chapel at 10:30 AM. Father Bob Moran will be officiating the service with burial to follow at the Westlawn Cemetery, West of Geneva, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be directed towards the State of the Heart Hospice in Memory of Steven Ford. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Views: 661 | Print
