Grace Helen Rowles, age 83, a former resident of Piedmont Apartments, Portland, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Persimmon Ridge of Portland. Grace was born on July 9, 1926, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Harvey C. and Ruby H. (Bucher) Abbott.She married William E. Hartley on February 16, 1951, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1976.Survivors include:1 son:Jerry Joe Hartley (wife Sue) – Portland, Indiana, 1 daughter:Patricia Rigby (husband Sam) – Chula Vista, California, Several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
