 Marcia A. Eley, age 80, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Marcia was born on March 20, 1930, the daughter of Chester and Florence (Money) Dority. She attended Portland High School. Marcia and her husband farmed in Pike Township for many years. She was a member of the Portland American Legion Auxiliary. Marcia married Charles F. Eley on May 15, 1948, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1996. Survivors include:1 son: Jody L. Eley – Portland, Indiana 1 sister: Virginia Frakes – Bryant, Indiana 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Visitation for Marcia Eley will be held on Monday from 1 – 7 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Pastor Billy Stanton will officiate and burial will follow at a later date in the Bluff Point Cemetery, south of Portland. Memorials may be directed towards State of the Heart Hospice.
