Carolyn Clevenger

Carolyn Clevenger age 75, a former Madison Township, Jay County resident, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana.

            Carolyn was born on March 9, 1941 in Portland, Indiana. The daughter of Mahlon and Martha (Grider) Milthaler. She was married on November 13, 1960 to Jesse L. Clevenger.

            She was graduate from Madison Township High School in 1959 and attended Taylor University. Carolyn was a member of the Full Gospel Temple in Muncie and also was a reporter for the Commercial Review in the late 1960’s.

            Survivors Include:

Her loving husband Jesse Clevenger – Mathews, Indiana

1 Son: David Glen Clevenger (wife Lisa) – Pennville, Indiana

1 Brother: Harold Milthaler – rural Portland, Indiana

3 Sisters: Wanda Strong (husband Paul) – Bryant, Indiana

                Diana Cole – Portland, Indiana

               Debra Butcher (husband Gary) – Bryant, Indiana

6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with the service to follow at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Pastor Dennis Hilton will officiate the services. 

Memorials may be directed towards Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
