LeEtta Bonifield

LeEtta J. Bonifield, age 77, a resident of Salamonia, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. 

LeEtta was born on March 23, 1939 in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur and Bessie (Wright) Manor.  She graduated from Madison Township High School in 1958 and worked for Jay Garment in Portland for several years.  She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Portland.  LeEtta married Charles Bonifield on July 4, 1959 and he passed away on October 19, 2008.

Survivors include:

1 son:  Kevin Bonifield (wife Kathy) – Salamonia, Indiana

1 daughter: Ronda Brotherton (husband Gregory) – Salamonia, Indiana

1 brother:  Edwin Manor (wife Carol) – Salamonia, Indiana

1 sister:  Freda Shull – Salamonia, Indiana

5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Southside Church of Christ in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church.  Flint Redwine will officiate and burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana. 

Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Heart Fund.
