Lois V. Lingo

Lois V. Lingo, age 94, a resident of Portland passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home in rural Portland. 

            Lois was born on February 5, 1922, in Boundary City, Jay County, Indiana the daughter of Robert and Goldie (Lee) Orr. Lois graduated from Saratoga High School in 1941.  She was a member of the West Walnut Street Church of Christ in Portland.  Other memberships include the Portland American Legion Auxiliary, Redkey Eastern Star and Jay County Historical Society.  She married John Lingo on November 3, 1948 and he passed away on October 1, 2011. 

            Survivors include: 

            2 sons:  Ron Lingo (wife Connie) – rural Portland, Indiana

                         John Lingo – rural Portland, Indiana

            4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson

            She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lingo.

            Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.  Visitation will also be held 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. 

            Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Gil Alicea will officiate and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. 

            Memorials may be directed to State of The Heart Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
