Margaret Robinette, age 95, a resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Jay County Hospital in Portland. She was a former Pennville resident.
Margaret was born on March 4, 1921, in Wise County, Virginia, the daughter of John and Floria (Adams) Morris. She graduated from Milligan College in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She was an elementary school teacher in Virginia and worked for Jay Garment in Portland and retired from Indiana Glass in Dunkirk in 1981 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of the Nazarene and the Pennville Enavant Club. Margaret married Daniel S. Robinette on June 27, 1945 and he passed away in 1996.

3 sons: John Robinette – Portland, Indiana
Kip Robinette (wife Peggy) – Portland, Indiana
Ron Robinette (wife Kathy) – Dunkirk, Indiana
3 daughters: Vicki Trumbo (husband Michael) – Pinellas Park, Florida
Cathy Norris (husband Bruce) – Portland, Indiana
Penny Robinette – Portland, Indiana
9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Sheets will officiate and burial will follow in the IOOF Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville.
Memorials may be directed towards the Sugar Grove Church of the Nazarene.
