Virginia Minch

    Virginia Minch, age 87 a resident of Portland passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Centre.  She was a member of the Noble Twp. Busy Bees Home Economic Club, and a member of the Portland Evangelical Methodist Church. 

       She was born February 17, 1929 in Dunkirk, Indiana the daughter of Clay and Sadie (Hahn) Weaver.  She was married on July 20, 1947 to Fred Minch and he passed away in 2001.

Survivors Include:

1 Son- Richard Minch, Portland, Indiana

3 Daughters- Diana Roessner (husband-Dave),  Wapakoneta, Ohio

                        Linda Vesperry (husband-Paul), Portland, Indiana

                        Brenda Stolz (husband-Bill),  Portland, Indiana

1 Sister- Mary  Middleton, Englewood, Ohio

11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren

          Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.         

       Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.  

Memorials may be directed to Jay County Humane Society or Jay County Cancer Society.
