Amy Nichols

Amy K. Nichols, age 74, a former Portland resident passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  She was a resident of Albany Health Care and Rehabilitation in Albany. 

    She worked several years in housekeeping with Preferred Family Physicians in Portland. 

     Amy Nichols was born November 29, 1943 in Hartford City, Indiana the daughter of Merrill and Nellie (Brackin) Garr.  She was married September 18, 1970 to Raymond Nichols and he passed away May 10, 1998.

Survivors Include:

2 Daughters- Lori Miller (husband-Todd), Portland, Indiana and Chrissy Nichols, Geneva, Indiana

1 Sister- Ann Crewdson, Ft. Wayne, Indiana

4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Marshonda Kirtz will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Little Salamonia Cemetery, southeast of Portland.

     Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm Monday at the funeral home prior to the services.

     Memorials may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
