Betty Stansbury Obituary

       Betty Stansbury, age 96 a resident of Pennville passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Dunkirk.  She was a 1939 graduate of Pennville High School and a member of the Gilead Church.  She graduated from Warners Beauty School in Ft. Wayne and was a beautician for many years.  She also worked as a secretary for the City of Portland, Town of Pennville, and the City of Hartford City.

     Betty Stansbury was born September 19, 1921 in Jay County, Indiana the daughter of Manderville and Hazel (Lockwood) Prouty.

Survivors Include:

1 Son- Jerry Stansbury(wife-Karen), Beatyville, Kentucky,

2 Daughters- Diana Nichols (husband-James), Muncie, Indiana, and Linda Wentz , Hamilton, Ohio. 

2 Brothers- Keith Prouty (wife-Peggy), Alsea, Oregon, and Harold  Prouty (wife- Ruth) Pennville, Indiana

7 Grandchildren , 10 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

     Visitation will be held from 11:00am- 12:00pm on Wednesday in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery in Pennville.
