Betty Woolslager

       Betty A. Woolslager, age 89 a resident of rural Portland passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Jay County Hospital.  She was a homemaker and worked at Jay Garment in Portland. Betty was a member of the Bellfountain United Methodist Church.  She and her husband were longtime residents of Bellfountain in Noble Twp. Jay County. 

       She was born February 19, 1928 in Jay County, Indiana the daughter of Paul and Inez (Baldauf) Stults.  She was married on February 19, 1947 to Joseph H. Woolslager and he passed away in 2005.

Survivors Include:

1 Daughter- Linda Deaton, Bellfountain, Indiana

2 Brothers- John Stults (Wife- Inez), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Lowell Stults (Companion- Dottie), Fort Wayne, Indiana

2 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren 4 great great grandchildren

     Visitation will be held from 12pm – 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating.  Burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
