Carol Sharp

     Carol Sharp, age 87, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland. 

     Carol was born on December 30, 1931, in Jay County, the daughter of Leonard and Maude (Ertel) Dull.  She was a member of Hopewell of Life Ministries.  She was a retired CNA who worked in private home health care.  Carol married Rev. Boyce Sharp on March 1, 1952 and he passed away on January 30, 2019. 

     Survivors include:

     1 daughter:  Barbie Stump (husband Walter) – rural Portland, Indiana

     2 sons:  Stephen Fisher – Salamonia, Indiana

                   Gary Sharp (wife Cindy) – Boise, Idaho

     11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren 

     Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Celebration of Life Services will follow on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Private burial has taken place at Claycomb Cemetery in Portland.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards The Hospice Group.
