I always enjoyed visiting with Fred. We would talk about the weather & gardening. I loved picking on him about Kentucky basketball (he was should a fan). My dad loved his visits with Fred, drinking coffee and talking about the Korean War (which they both served). I draw comfort in knowing that Fred & my daddy are both in heaven drinking coffee and looking down on all of us that loved them. We shall never forget those we love.

Fred Franks was a man of integrity and a true American hero! I will always cherish the times that I spent with my Great Uncle Fred. My condolence to the family and may Uncle Fred rest in peace. Love, Shane A. Franks
