Melissa "Missy" Brown

     Melissa “Missy” Brown, age 44 a resident of Portland passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  She was a member of the New Beginnings Holiness Church in Jay County.  She had worked for Tom and Rods and also the Stables in Portland.

     Melissa Brown was born August 4, 1973 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Michael Roser and Shirley (Witchie) Pavey.  Meliisa Roser was married February 15, 1996 to Brian Brown.

3 Daughters- Christine “Teen” Brown, Portland, Indiana

                        Summer Brown, Portland, Indiana

                        Amy Thornbury, Ridgeville, Indiana

6 Sister- Michelle Roser, Portland, Indiana

               Cathy Bruss (husband Dennis) – Salamonia, Indiana

               Janet Perez – Bluffton, Indiana

               Donna Eley (husband Dan) – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma  

               Peggy Cain (husband Scott) – Tucson, Arizona

               Jean Gutkrecht – Houston, Texas

3 Brothers- Dean Franks – Hartford City, Indiana

                   Phillip Pavey II – Portland, Indiana

                   Matthew Pavey (wife Krystal) – Lafayette, Indiana

      Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Saturday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral home in Portland.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm at the funeral home.  Pastor Randy Smith will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery southeast of Portland.

Memorials may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
