Patty Lue Chittum

January 1, 1932 ~ July 10, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

     Patty Lue Chittum, age 85, a former Noble Twp. resident passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Moundville Health and Rehabilitation in Alabama. She moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama two years ago to escape the cold winters. Patty enjoyed working in her yard in Bellefountain, painting, crocheting, playing cards, shuffleboard, and high bowling scores. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she participated in Asbury Choir, Asbury Bell Ringers, Wesleyan Circle, and loved helping with Vacation Bible School activities. Pat was the manager of the Happy Humpty in Portland for 5 years and then a school bus driver with Jay School Corporation for 27 years.

     Patty Lue Chittum was born January 1, 1932 to Harlan and Lola Stipp. She was married on February 2, 1952 to E.Wayne Chittum who passed away on April 6, 2009.

Survivors include:

3 daughters- Paula Lindly (Jay), Tuscaloosa, AL

                     Lana Denise Wheeler, Rossville, IN

                     Andrea Butcher (Micky), Rossville, IN

1 Stepdaughter- S. Dianne Bolden, North Vernon, IN

11 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

     A Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Pastor Greg Rittenhouse will officiate and burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Asbury United Methodist Church.
