Robert Brown

       Robert B. Brown, age 88 a resident of Portland passed away Thursday,  February 22, 2018 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Centre.  He was a longtime member of the Family Worship Center in Portland.  He owned and operated Brown’s Produce for over 45 years in Portland. 

     Robert Brown was born April 15, 1929 in Mills Spring, Kentucky the son of Harvey and Francis (Young) Brown.  He was married on October 26, 1948 to Margaret Bower.  She passed away on August 7, 2007.

Survivors Include:

1 Son- Bob Brown (wife-Ann), Portland

3 Daughters- Rosa May (husband-Hank), Berne,  Louise Harter (husband-Duane), Portland, and Brenda Kay Chapman (husband-Jim), Portland

2 Brothers- Oliver Brown, Muncie, and Wendell Brown, Illinois

2 Sisters- Glenna Burris and Marjorie Hickey, both of Muncie

2 sisters in law- Marjorie Barger and Mabeline Barcus

14 Grandchildren and several Great and Great Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife- Margaret, and 3 children, Rebecca Sue, Robert and Richard.

     Visitation for Robert Brown will be held from 11am-1pm on Monday at the Family Worship Center, 200 E. Elder St. in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the church.  Rev. David Wade will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.

The arrangements have been entrusted to the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
