William "Bill" Meehan

        William “Bill” Lloyd Meehan, age 71 a resident of Portland passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.   He was an Army veteran serving during Vietnam.  He had worked at Jay Products, Bearcreek Farms and Berne Tubing.  He was a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211, and the Ft. Recovery DAV.

        William “Bill” Meehan was born April 20, 1946 the son of Worth and Mabel (Wright) Meehan.

Survivors Include:

1 Daughter- Marcia Ballard (husband-Brad), Portland, Indiana

Uncle- George Meehan, Portland, Indiana

2 Aunts- Martha Miller, Bryant, Indiana

                Lucille Pieper(husband- Fred), Lafayette, Indiana

5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren

        Funeral services will be held at 6pm Tuesday in the Williamson and Spencer funeral home in Portland with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Tuesday prior to the service.  Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military rites at the funeral home.

 Memorials may be directed to the Portland American Legion Post 211.
