Charles M. Loper Jr, age 79 a resident of Portland, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his home in Portland.
Charles was born April 4, 1936, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Charles M. and Helen (Twigg) Loper Sr. He was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard. Charles worked at the Commercial Review for over 42 years. He was a life member of the Portland Moose Lodge and also a member of the American Legion, Eagles and Elks Lodge all of Portland. Charles married Verna (Hilbish) Loper on June 8, 1974

2 Brothers: Mike Loper (Wife Joan) – Lyons Falls, New York

Visitation will be held on Friday November 27, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral Service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Eads officiating. Burial to follow at a later date at Green Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Jay County Heart Fund or Jay County Humane Society.
