Jerry Stone

Jerry Stone, age 54, a resident of Portland, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at IU Health Ball Hospital following a sudden illness.

Jerry was born on July 19, 1966, in Portland, the son of Jim and Carol (Ridgeway) Stone.  He graduated from Jay County High School in 1985 and worked for Swifty Gas Station for 9 years and FCC in Portland for 8 years.  Jerry attended Church of God Prophecy in Portland.  He married Jennifer (Welch) on June 7, 2020.

Ashely Stone-McAbee – Portland

Nicole Stone – Portland

Brother:  Tony Lee Stone (wife Barbara) – Portland

Sisters:  Mary Bickel (husband Randy) – Portland

Jaime Nuckols (husband Richard) – Portland

Several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Casey (Stone) Clubs, mother, Carol Stone, grandparents, Edward and Olga Louise Stone, William and Mary Jane Ridgeway, uncles, Terry Wilhelm and Jim Ridgeway.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Jerry’s life will follow at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.

Memorials may be directed towards Church of God Prophecy in Portland.

Face coverings will be required when social distancing cannot be maintained.
