Alice M. Rowland, age 87, a resident of Portland passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Portland. She worked in the Jay County Treasurer’s Office and then for Ted Montgomery Insurance in Portland for many years.
Alice Rowland was born April 7, 1927 in Delaware County, Indiana the daughter of Herschel and Emily (Hitchcock) Stonerock. She was married on July 1, 1950 to Jay Rowland.
Survivors Include:
1 Son- David Rowland (wife-Candy), Defiance, Ohio
1 Daughter- Claudia May (husband-Bob), rural Portland.
5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
Private funeral services will be held for the family.
