Andrew Eley

Andrew Eley, age 27, a resident of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was a former resident of Portland and Redkey.

Andrew was born on June 8, 1994 in Fort Wayne, the son of Jody and Mary (Garlinger) Eley.  He graduated from Jay County High School in 2014 where he was active in football, wrestling and track.  Andrew enjoyed playing co-ed softball.  He was a fan of Marvel and D.C. superheroes.  Andrew worked for Two Men and a Truck in Indianapolis.

Sheldon Eley – Portland, Indiana

1 sister:  Melony Eley – Redkey, Indiana

His girlfriend:  Lexi Jenkins – Indianapolis, Indiana

Step-brother:  Patrick Mitchell – Pennsylvania

Step-sister:  Cori Weaver – Hartford City, Indiana

Grandfather:  Charles Garlinger – Portland, Indiana

Step-grandparents:  William and Lillian Lawton – New Jersey

Steve Jones – Spencer, West Virginia

Visitation will be held on Saturday form 2-5 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Andrew’s life will follow at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
