Ann Smith, age 74, a resident of Salamonia, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at her home in Salamonia.
Ann Smith was born on August 7, 1939, in Haselmuhl, Germany, the daughter of Sebastian and Barbara (Koller) Frey. She worked for Fort Recovery Industries for 16 years, retiring in 2000. Ann attended Collett Church of the Nazarene. She married Charles Smith on December 30, 1959 and he passed away on February 2, 2000.

Tina Schofner – Salamonia, Indiana
Beverly Huntsman (husband Jason) – Portland, Indiana
1 brother: Hans Frey (wife Margo) – Germany
2 sisters: Erna Gietl – Germany
Betty Streng – Germany
Sister-in-law: Vivian Baugh – Dunkirk, Indiana
26 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and several great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Billy Stanton will officiate and burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards State of the Heart Hospice.
