Annette Michelle Henderson, age 43, passed away on July 31, 2026 in San Diego, California.
Annette was born November 26, 1982, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Brent Shaneyfelt and Kimberly Chance.
Annette graduated from Anderson High School in 2001. She attended Kaplan College, earning a Medical Assistant Degree.
She married Kendall Ray Henderson on August 1, 2007. Together they have 3 boys whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmothers, Nana Carol Groover; paternal grandfathers, Dennis Shaneyfelt and Michael Martin; grandmother-in-law, Rozzetta Henderson Davis.
Annette enjoyed spending time with her family, her most treasured hobbies were riding jet skis and outdoor activities at the lake and beach. She also had a heart for helping others and was an avid volunteer, generously giving her time at the Homeless Hospitality Center in New London, Connecticut. Annette also served as President of the Family Readiness Group (FRG), where she provided support and encouragement to the families of deployed sailors throughout their loved ones’ deployments.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services to celebrate Annette’s life will follow at 3 p.m. on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Kendall Henderson, to assist with the care and support of their children.
