Arlo Gettinger

Arlo Gettinger, age 71, a resident of Portland, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at IU Health Ball Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

Arlo was born June 25, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana the son of Robert and Mary (Roth) Gettinger. Arlo graduated from Portland high school in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the Portland Forge as a hammer operator after over 40 years. Arlo was a member of the Boilermaker Union, NRA, and Salamonia Volunteer Fire Department. Arlo married Vickie Bailey on July 6, 1970.

1 brother: Charles Ford – Florida

3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12-6 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
