Armetia Mae “Dollie” Jellison, age 89, a resident of Portland passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She retired from the United Telephone Company in Portland after 28 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Portland and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary, Business and Professional Women’s Organization and a former president and member of the local AARP in Portland.
She was born January 14, 1925 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Charles Loper, Sr. and Helen Loper. She was raised by Glicie Metz and Marian North. She was married January 15, 1943 to Donald Jellison and he passed away on May 30, 2012.

Marsha Wickelman (husband Paul) – Portland, Indiana
4 grandchildren: Jerrilynn O’Neil (husband Jay) – New Whiteland, Indiana
Chris Morehous (wife Michele) – Wilshire, Ohio
Suzanne Nelson (husband Thomas) – Cincinnati, Ohio

She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Bob Loper and 2 sisters, Thelma Nevil and Barbara Loy.
Visitation will be held from 11am-3pm and 5pm-7pm on Wednesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Wednesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with Pastor Jason Rice officiating. Private family burial will follow on Thursday in the Antioch Cemetery southeast of Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards Trinity United Methodist Church, Portland First Church of the Nazarene or Indiana Talking Book.
