Betty Barley
April 8, 1926 — December 14, 2013
Betty Barley, age 87, a former Portland resident passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Portland. She was also a member of the Greene Twp. Home Economics Club and the Portland Moose Auxiliary.
Betty Barley was born April 8, 1926 in Delaware County, Indiana the daughter of James Alva and Hazel (Thrash) Evans. She was first married to Monroe Barley in 1958 and he passed away in 1993. In 1994 she married Eugene Ratzlaff and he passed away in 1999.
Survivors Include:
1 Daughter- Wanda Wheat, Muncie, Indiana
1 Grandson- Dale Clark, Lafayette, Indiana
2 Granddaughters- Sally Clark , Lafayette, Indiana
Delores Caldwell, Muncie, Indiana
8 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm Wednesday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Rev. Phill Jellison will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery southeast of Portland.
