Betty Patterson
April 28, 1923 — October 29, 2013
Betty Patterson, age 90 of Portland passed away on Tuesday evening, October 29, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was a 1941 graduate of Portland High School. She retired in 1982 from Kroger in Portland and Marion where she worked as a head cashier for many years.
Betty Patterson was born April 28, 1923 in Jay County, Indiana the daughter of A. Leo and Sarah (Bishop) Patterson.
Survivors Include:
3 Sisters- Wilma Jean Grile, Muncie, Indiana
Virginia Dehoff (husband-Fred), rural Portland, Indiana
Ilene Patterson, Portland, Indiana
9 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by a brother- Herbert D. Patterson and 1 niece- Sheri Reinhart
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, east of Portland. Pastor Darrel Borders will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Saturday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday.
Memorials may be directed to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church or the donor choice.
