Betty J. Pogue

Betty J. Pogue, age 88, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home in Portland following an extended illness. She retired from Anchor Hocking in Winchester in 1987 after 38 years. She was also a Beautician in Jay County for many years. She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church, Portland. She graduated from Amber Beauty School in Muncie.
Betty was born August 17, 1925 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Kelly) Grimes. She was married on December 31, 1942 to Glen Pogue. He passed away in 1979.
Survivors include:
1 Grandson- Shane Babbitt (girlfriend- Michelle Hersberger) , Portland, Indiana
1 Son in law- Chuck Babbitt, Portland, Indiana
1 Daughter deceased- Becky Babbitt
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-3:00pm on Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with Pastor Steve Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
