Betty "Gammy" Ross

Betty "GAMMY" Ross, age 79 passed away Monday at her home in Portland. She owned and operated the Quick Clean Laundry on E. Votaw St. in Portland for several years. Betty moved to Casa Grande, Arizona and worked for the Casa Grande Medical Center. She was a graduate of Dunkirk High School.

Betty Ross was born September 14, 1933 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Milford and Fannie (Bird) Clevenger.

Survivors Include:
2 Sons- David Ross, Washington D.C.
Garry Ross, Portland, Indiana
1 Daughter- Diana Ross-Logue, Portland, Indiana
4 Brothers- Bob Clevenger, Winchester, Indiana
Carol Clevenger, Dunkirk, Indiana
Harold Clevenger, Shelbyville, Indiana
Blaine Clevenger, Tulsa, Oklahoma
6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with Rev. Rogers Durham officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Mooreland Cemetery, Mooreland, Indiana.

Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Cancer Society.
