Brenda R. Hartley, age 65, a resident of Portland, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Brenda was born on February 9, 1948, in Paris, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Rosie (Roe) Hutchens. She attended Portland High School and worked as a dietician for Jay County Hospital for 31 years.

2 daughters: Faith Lowrance (companion Jeff Mast) – Portland, Indiana
Patty Martin (companion John Arnold) – Portland, Indiana
1 brother: Don Hutchens – Portland, Indiana
1 sister: Linda Aker (husband Mike) – Portland, Indiana
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-4 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Herb Hummel officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
