Bruce Street, age 63, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at his home in Portland following an extended illness. He worked at Stoneridge in Portland since 1994. He also worked at Teledyne Portland Forge and was co owner and mechanic for Charlie’s Mobile service station on West Votaw St. He loved aviation and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a 1968 graduate of Portland High School where he played both offence and defense as linebacker and tackle for the Portland Panthers football team. They were undefeated in 1968 and Bruce was selected MVP two consecutive years. He was a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211.
Bruce was born June 16, 1950 in Portland, Indiana the son of Charles and Jaunita (Lehman) Street.

1 Daughter- Karla Reier (husband Joseph), rural Portland
1 Step son- Robert Street, Indianapolis, Indiana
2 Grandchildren- Madison and Mavrick Reier
2 Brothers- Michael Street (wife-Cindy), Wabash, Indiana
Gary Street (wife- Barbara), Portland, Indiana
Several nieces and nephews
A memorial service will be held at 4pm Friday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Rev. Steve Arnold will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Ft. Recovery, Ohio. Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military graveside rites at the cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
