Carl E. Heidegger, age 75, a resident of Noble Township, Jay County, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Carl was born on June 10, 1938, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Walter and Ruth (Wiley) Heidegger. He graduated from Portland High School. Carl was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Salamonia. He worked for Pennville Custom Cabinets and retired from B&R Kitchen in Pennville. He farmed in Noble Township for many years. Carl was a Past Director and Life Member of the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association. He was also a Life Member of the Portland Moose Lodge. Other memberships include the Vintage Motor Bike Club, Darke County Steam Thrashers Association and Greenville Farm Power of the Past Incorporated.
Carl married Carol Diane Klingel on October 20, 1979.

1 sister: Ann Murphy – Greenville, Ohio

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed towards Juvenile Diabetes or the Donor’s Choice.
