Charlotte G. Morehous

Charlotte G. Morehous, age 82, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her home in Portland.
Charlotte was born on February 10, 1931, in Jay County, the daughter of Ezra and Dorothy (Bancroft) Burkey. She was a graduate of Portland High School and worked at Jay Garment in Portland, EPC in Geneva and retired in 1994 from Marsh Supermarkets in Portland. Charlotte was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Portland. She married James Morehous in 1965 and he passed away in 1971.

1 son: Weldon "Jay" Rupe - Bryant, Indiana
1 daughter: Betty Mann (husband Terry) - Berne, Indiana
2 sisters: Nellie Stone - Portland, Indiana
Annetta Post (husband Dave) - Fort Recovery, Ohio
4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by one son, Max Rupe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
