Dale G. Barton

Dale G. Barton, age 61, a former resident of Portland, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his home in New Haven, Indiana.
Dale was born on March 19, 1955, in Mullens, West Virginia the son of Fred and Oneida (Thomas) Barton. He graduated from South Adams High School in 1973. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Dale owned and operated Dale’s Shoe Repair in Portland for many years and was currently working at Glenbrook Hyundai in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the NRA.

7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Father Bob Moran officiating. The American Legion Post #211 of Portland will conduct military rites at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
