David Miller, age 82, a resident of Portland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
David was born on February 4, 1942, in Wilder, TN, the son of Isaac and Choyce (Norrod) Miller. David served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Beatty. He worked at Westinghouse and owned and operated the Marathon Gas Station in Redkey for many years. David enjoyed fishing and hunting trips to Canada and especially enjoyed bow hunting. David was a devoted member of Redkey Church of the Nazarene. He married Alona Hatzell on November 5, 2001.

Step-son: Shannon Clark (wife Stephanie) – Selma, Indiana
2 brothers: Gary Miller (wife Brenda) – Murfreesboro, TN
Jack Miller (wife Nancy) – Redkey, Indiana
Several grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Miller.
A celebration of life services may be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed towards Redkey Church of the Nazarene or Redkey Veterinary Clinic.
