Dennis A. Heniscey, age 69 a resident of Ridgeville passed away Tuesday evening at his home. He was a 1967 graduate of Winchester High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He previously owned D and D Do Drop Inn restaurant in Deerfield and Best Flowers and Gifts in Winchester. He had also served as a Reserve Deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. He drove for AAA Interstate, Union City and was retired from Verizon in Winchester. He was a member of the Ridgeville Vol. Fire Department for 28 years and Chief of the department over 10 years. He coached Little League in Ridgeville for many years.
Dennis was born May 4, 1949 in Portland Indiana the son of Paul and Barbara (Ritchey) Heniscey. He was married on November 17, 1972 to Deborah Midlam.

3 Daughters- Tori Pullins, Ridgeville, Heather Staver (husband-Roger, Ridgeville, and Brittany Hicks, Ridgeville
13 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson
Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00pm on Friday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday at the New Victory Life Church, 1217 W. Votaw St. in Portland. Pastor Michael Burk will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Lawndale Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.
Family requests memorials to be directed to the Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department or Ridgeville Little League.
