Dewayne Kaufman
August 8, 1941 — September 14, 2017
Dewayne Kaufman, age 76 a resident of Portland and a former Dunkirk resident passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He retired from the Maintenance Department at Indiana Glass in Dunkirk. He was an avid bowler, built and restored black powder guns and enjoyed building and racing his cars at the Muncie Dragway. He attended the Portland Evangelical Methodist Church.
Dewayne Kaufman was born August 8, 1941 in Dunkirk, Indiana the son of Wilbert and Cora (Hamilton) Kaufman. He was married to Paula Clawson on March 12, 1971.

2 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday at the Portland Evangelical Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11-1pm on Saturday prior to the services.
