Donald Stafford, Jr.

Donald Earl Stafford, Jr., age 57, a resident of Pennville, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Marion VA Hospital in Marion, Indiana.

Donald was born on June 19, 1968, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Donald Earl Stafford, Sr. and Rebecca Ann (Ramsey) Stafford. He was a graduate of Jay County High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University and his Master’s Degree from Western Governors University. He also attended the University of the Cumberlands while working toward his Doctorate Degree.

Donald proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. He was dedicated to education and taught at Indiana Tech. He was a past member of the Pennville Masonic Lodge, the Pennville Volunteer Fire Department, served his community as a First Responder and was on the board for the Museum of the soldier.

Donald married Beth Lantz on June 6, 1992.

His children: Brandon Stafford (wife Jamey) – Berne, Indiana

Cathrine Stafford – Bedford, Indiana

His mother: Rebecca Ann Stafford – Dunkirk, Indiana

2 grandchildren: Keyton and Xavier

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1-2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Pennville. Services to celebrate Don’s life will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
