Doris Murray

Doris M. Murray, age 93, a resident of rural Pennville, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Jay County Hospital in Portland.
Doris was born on June 12, 1919, in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Arie (Hetrick) Heckley. She was a member of the Pennville United Methodist Church in Pennville and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1937. She farmed with her husband in Knox and Penn Township in Jay County for many years. Doris married Dwight R. Murray on November 30, 1940 and he passed away on August 16, 1993.

1 daughter: Janet Ramseyer - Montpelier, Indiana
1 son: Bruce A. Murray (wife Sherry) - Pennville, Indiana
2 brothers: Dale Heckley - Springfield, Ohio
Garth Heckely - Tampa, Florida
7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Pennville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Pennville. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery, east of Bluffton.
Memorials may be directed towards the Pennville United Methodist Church.
