Dustin Franks

Dustin Franks, age 30, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Dustin was born on March 2, 1992, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Kimberly (Creamer) Franks.  He attended Jay County High School and worked at Priority Plastics and drove Amish.   Dustin enjoyed demolition derby’s, fishing and racing.  He married Tasha Miller on December 25, 2020.

His children:  Dustin Lee Franks, Hayden Edward Franks and Zayden James Franks all of Portland

Brothers:  Jerry Dean Stone (wife Brianna) – Portland, Indiana

Duane Stone – Union City, Indiana

James Miller – Montpelier, Indiana

Sisters:  Zera Hunley (husband Matt) – Portland, Indiana

Alex Wilhelm (Cohn Richard) – Ridgeville, Indiana

BreAnna Miller (Brad Eldridge) – Portland, Indiana

Mother:  Kim Franks – Union City, Indiana

Mother-in-law:  Holly Miller (Mike Fear) – Montpelier, Indiana

Grandfather:  Ronald “Ronnie” Creamer – Union City, Indiana

He was preceded in death by a son; Clifford Franks, his father Joe Franks and his father-in-law Jimmy Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Phil Jellison will officiate and burial will follow at Wells Cemetery, northwest of Portland.
