Ernie Harris

Ernie Harris, age 54, a resident of rural Pennville, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his sister’s home in rural Pennville.

Ernie was born on June 6, 1967 in Portland, Indiana, the son of Basil Harris, Jr. and Bobbie (Roark) Harris.  Ernie graduated from Jay County High School in 1985.  He owned and operated Harris Tree Service for several years.

Survivors include:

2 daughters:  Chelsea Jean Harris – Scottsdale, Arizona

Sydney Rae Harris – Muncie, Indiana

sister:  Robbie Ray (husband Rob) – rural Pennville, Indiana

brother:  Jack Harris – Hartford City, Indiana

sister:  Carol Harris – Hartford City, Indiana

Nieces and Nephews:  Todd, Jason, Stacy, Terry, Lance, Tonya, Erin and Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his father Basil Harris, Jr. and a brother, Eric Harris.

Services to celebrate Ernie’s life will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at The Briar Patch in Pennville
