Esther L. Theurer
September 24, 1931 — November 30, 2013
Esther L. Theurer, age 82, a former Portland resident passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Portland. She retired from Porter Takats Insurance and Real Estate after 28 years. She was a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary, the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary and was a former board member of the Portland Country Club. She was a 1949 graduate of Poling High School in Jay County.
Esther Theurer was born September 24, 1931 in Bluffton, Indiana the daughter of Peter and Irene (Eley) Bollinger. She was married to Robert Theurer in 1950 and he passed away in 2005.

1 Brother- Phillip Bollinger, Waynesville, North Carolina
1 Sister- Marie Vail, New Port Richie, Florida
Several Nieces and nephews including
Mike (wife-Jodi) McKee, Portland, Indiana
Mark (wife-Sharon) McKee, Bluffton, Indiana
Milt ( wife- Sarah) McKee, Portland, Indiana
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am Friday in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, east of Portland. Pastor Mark Strietelmeier will officiate the services.
Memorials may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church or the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary where envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Arrangements are being handled by Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
