Evelyn Waters

Evelyn Waters, age 87, a former resident of Geneva, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Adams Heritage in Monroeville.

Evelyn was born on July 22, 1932, in Jay County, the daughter of George and Lenora (Pace) Mills.  She graduated from Poling High School in 1950 and then attended Wayne Beauty College in Fort Wayne.  Evelyn worked at CTS in Berne for 34 years, retiring in 2006.  She married Dorwin Waters on November 11, 1950 and he passed away on December 14, 2005.

Survivors include:

Her children:  Larry Waters, Dana Brown-Waters, Brenda Rochholz (husband Michael), Mary Smith (husband Mark), and Carey Waters (wife Anissa).

Her siblings:  Roy Mills, Annette Enochs and Elaine Ruth.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A virtual visitation/candlelight vigil will be held on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. on the Facebook page of Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Maplelawn Cemetery in Pennville.  A livestream of the graveside service will be available on Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Homes Facebook page.
