Frances Taylor, age 81, a resident of Portland, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Portland. She was a former resident of Ridgeville, Indiana.
Frances was born on February 7, 1933, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Pauline (Francis) Wilson. She graduated from Governor I.P. Gray High School in 1950. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Ridgeville and was a member of the Ridgeville American Legion Auxiliary. Frances worked as a cook for the Jay County Hospital, Elks Lodge in Portland and Meinerdings Restaurant in Fort Recovery. She also worked for CTS in Berne. Frances married Harold “Tuney” Taylor on April 5, 1952 and he passed away on October 1, 2012.

Kenneth Wilson – Glasgow, Kentucky
Eugene Wilson (wife Kathy) – Glasgow, Kentucky
Collie Wilson (wife Sugar) – Cave City, Kentucky
Odell Wilson (wife Betty) – Glasgow, Kentucky
1 sister: Betty Sue Coffee (husband Richie) – Edmonton, Kentucky
13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren
Visitation for Frances Taylor will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Sylvia Stong will officiate and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Cancer Society.
