Gary L. Pusey

Gary L. Pusey, age 75 a resident of Portland passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  Gary was a 1961 graduate of Portland High School, and a veteran of the US Air Force.  He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and the Portland American Legion Post 211.  He was an agent with Prudential Insurance Company serving Jay and Randolph Counties.

Gary Pusey was born June 22, 1943 in Portland, Indiana the son of Earl and Ethel Mae (Via) Pusey.  He was married on February 22, 1992 to Marsha Rheinhart.  She passed away on May 15, 2019.

Survivors Include:

1 Son- Chad Pusey (wife-Mary Lou), Oblong, Illinois

1 Daughter- Sherri Davis, Portland

1 Son- Rick Shannon (wife-Kim), Portland

7 Grandchildren- Codie Pusey, Alexis Pusey, Lyndee Lou Pusey, Erica Pusey, Logan Hawkins, Alesha Cumins and Loren Polley

11 Grandchildren

25 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Mae Pusey, a son, Scott Pusey, a step-son, Michael Shannon and a sister, Phyllis Tobias.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Pastor Hugh Kelly will officiate and burial will follow in the Saratoga Cemetery in Randolph County.  Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military rites at the cemetery.
